Production of the Show & Details
In March 2019, the series (originally named Online Commentary) was renewed for a second season of 10 episodes, which premiered on June 30, 2019. The first 4 episodes were a failure with ratings and Colton Nelson, not having time to promote and complete the show, canceled it with no more episodes to produce. After a long talk with RCN Media, Colton was convinced to finish the series' second season with new staff. The last 6 episodes aired between August and October 2019, completing the second season with moderate success. RCN Media renewed the series for a third season of 10 episodes, and announced that new staff would be brought on. Colton would also take a more involved approach to the series, as with season 1.
In February of 2020, RCN Media re-branded the series as No Dress Code. The transition was set to be completed before the premier of season 3.
In April 2020, RCN Media announced that the third season would premier on the last Tuesday of May 2020, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, wanting to give people content while they were all at home. The scripts were written, mainly, from March 15, 2020 through April 20, 2020. Audio production began the next day and finished on April 24, 2020. Animation for the season began on April 25, 2020 and was set to conclude May 15, 2020.
In April 2020, RCN Media announced that the series would move to Tuesdays and would air every other week.
In July 2020, RCN Media requested that 60% of the show's audio should be redone, which would effect the gap between episodes 3 and 4.
In September 2020, after a two month gap between episodes, RCN Media announced that the series would return.
